Agreement on Cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Moldova

In framework of ceremonies to commemorate 25 years since founding of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Moldova in Kishinev signing of Agreement on Cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Moldova took place.
The Agreement was signed from the Russian side by the deputy of the Prosecutor General Mr. Yuri Ponomarev and from Moldavian side by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Moldova Mr. Eduard Kharunzhen.
Before ceremony of signing of the Agreement Mr. Yuri Ponomarev on behalf of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Mr. Yuri Chaika congratulated Mr. Eduard Kharunzhen with the anniversary of Prosecution bodies of Moldova and noted that one of components of dynamic development of interstate relations is proper cooperation in legal sphere. Security in society, reliable protection of rights and freedoms of citizens, interests of the state very much depend on effective work of prosecutors.
Mr. Yuri Ponomarev also expressed confidence that practical realization of the signed Agreement, which provides exchange of experience on matters of development of legal systems and legislation, regulates interdepartmental interaction in the sphere of criminal proceedings and combating organized crime, including terrorism and corruption, will promote moving to the new level of cooperation of Russian and Moldavian prosecutors.
Furthermore deputy of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Mr. Yuri Ponomarev and chief of the General Department for Supervision over Execution of Federal Legislation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation Mr. Anatoliy Palamarchuk participated in the International conference “Perspectives of development of the modern Prosecutor’s Office: ensuring of independence and specialization of prosecutors” organized by the receiving party.
