The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Justice of the State of Israel signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

Today, on 2 June 2017, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yuri Chaika and Minister of Justice of the State of Israel Ayelet Shaked signed a Memorandum of Cooperation within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The meeting was also attended by Attorney General of the State of Israel Shai Nitzan, Deputy Prosecutors General of the Russian Federation Saak Karapetyan and Alexander Gutsan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Russian Federation Harry Koren, heads of the structural subdivisions of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia and members of the delegation of the State of Israel.
The Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation expressed confidence that the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the agencies of the two states will promote the exchange of best practices in the area of protecting the rights of entrepreneurs.
The practical implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation will also help to strengthen cooperation in the fight against crime, primarily with terrorism and in criminal justice.
Yuri Chaika noted that the forum is a world-class discussion platform that gives an opportunity to publicly inform the business community on the measures taken by the authorities to ensure stable development of national economies and the creation of a secure social and economic space.
The Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation stressed that for many forum participants the experience gained in Russia and in Israel on the protection and restoration of the rights of entrepreneurs and investors, development of a dialogue with the business community on combating corruption and economic crimes is of great interest.
In conclusion, Yuri Chaika commended the current level of cooperation between the competent bodies of Russia and Israel and confirmed the commitment to its constructive and progressive development.
