The Prosecutor General’s Office hosted the round table with the delegation of the Public Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of the Hellenic Republic

Today, on April 18, 2019, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation hosted the round table on the theme “Analysis of the Anticorruption Legislation of Russia and Greece. Problems of the International Cooperation in Detection, Prevention and Combating of Corruption Crimes”.

Mr. Nikolay Vinnichenko, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, Ms. Xeni Dimitriou-Vassilopoulou, Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Konstantinos Paraskevaides and Mr. Panagiotis Karagianis, Deputy Prosecutors General of the Supreme Court of the Hellenic Republic, as well as heads of relevant divisions of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation took part in the event.

The round table was held within the framework of the Cooperation Program between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and the Public Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of the Hellenic Republic for 2017-2020.

The participants reported on the theme of the round table, shared the experience of their states in anticorruption activity, covered international aspects of combating corruption offences.

Mr. Aleksandr Rusetsky, Head of the Department for Supervision of Observance of Anti-corruption Laws, Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, in his presentation referred to key lines of activity of the prosecution service of the Russian Federation in the sphere of prevention of corruption.

In conclusion the participants of the round stressed the high importance of bilateral international cooperation and expressed the hope for further fruitful cooperation on one of the essential lines of the activity of the prosecution service.
