The Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yuri Chaika met with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ihtiyor Abdullayev

The meeting between the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yuri Chaika and the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ihtiyor Abdullayev was held at the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.

The Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Saak Karapetyan, Rector of the Academy of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation Oksana Kapinus, Acting Head of the General Department of International Legal Co-operation Alexander Kupriyanov, Head of the Mass Media Department Alexander Kurennoy participated in the event as well.

Welcoming the guests the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation noted that cooperation between the Russian and Uzbek prosecution services is characterized by high level of mutual understanding and trust. It is successfully gets on within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, as well as the UN and IAP events.

On a regular basis the prosecutorial staff of two countries shares experience of international cooperation in the field of criminal proceedings, combating against human trafficking, organization of legal education.

The participants of the meeting discussed development of bilateral cooperation between the prosecution services of Russia and Uzbekistan, and participation of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the work of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS member states.

In the course of a joint event the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the sphere of personnel training between the Academy of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and the Higher Training Courses of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed.
