The 27th meeting of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS member states is held in St. Petersburg

Today, on 29 November 2017, the 27th Meeting of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General of the Commonwealth of Independent States is held in St. Petersburg.
The Meeting is attended by the representatives of the delegations from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Secretariat of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors of the CIS member states, the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Interparliamentary Assembly of States - CIS members, the Antiterrorist Center of the CIS member states.
The Russian delegation is represented by Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yury Chaika, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Saak Karapetyan, Rector of the Academy of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Oksana Kapinus, heads of the specific departments of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, prosecutors of the Russian Federation constituencies, military and transport prosecutors of a similar status.
This year, the meeting of the CCPG is held in conjunction with the meeting of prosecutors general of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on countering crimes committed with the use of modern information and communication technologies.
Along with this, the practices for ensuring protection of citizens' rights, implementation of international treaties, and countering corruption are analyzed.
One of the agenda items was exchange of experience in organizing the work of the prosecution services of the CIS member states in the most relevant areas of activity.
Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yuri Chaika presented a report on new forms and methods of information support for the activities of the Russian prosecution bodies.
Within the framework of the meeting, bilateral and multilateral meetings are also held between the leaders of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and foreign partners.
The event is held in the "National Congress Palace" - a current State residence on the basis of the Konstantin Palace and Park Ensemble.
The Coordination Council was established by a joint decision of the Prosecutors General of the CIS member states on 7 December 1995. It is a CIS interstate body, which organizes coordination and integration of efforts, coordination of actions and cooperation of prosecutor general's offices of its member states in ensuring the rule of law, human and civil rights and freedoms, and combating crime. The Coincil is chaired by Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yuri Chaika.
