Meeting between Mr. Yury Chaika, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, and Mr. Jürgen Stock, Secretary General of INTERPOL

Today, on December 12, 2017, delegation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation paid a working visit to INTERPOL headquarters in Lyon, France, where the meeting with Mr. Jürgen Stock, Secretary General of INTERPOL, took place.
The Russian delegation was headed by Mr. Yury Chaika, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation. There was also Mr. Saak Karapetyan, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, as well as high officials and officers of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.
Mr. Yury Chaika noted in his speech that cooperation of law-enforcement agencies through the channels of the International Police Organization – INTERPOL was of special importance in situation of the terrorist threat deterioration.
He stressed that cooperation between Russia and its foreign partners, as well as with the General Secretariat of INTERPOL is of high dynamism and efficiency.
Moreover, Mr. Yury Chaika highly appreciated the activity of INTERPOL and its role of a global center on sharing information between law-enforcement bodies.
Mr. Yury Chaika and Mr. Jürgen Stock also discussed implementation of the resolutions of the 86th INTERPOL General Assembly, which took place in September 2017, in Beijing.
In conclusion Mr. Yury Chaika, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, thanked Mr. Jürgen Stock, Secretary General of INTERPOL, and expressed the hope of further fruitful cooperation.
