Following the amendment of Article 15.3 of the Federal Law “On Information, Information Technologies and Protection of Information”, which provides for measures of extrajudicial restriction of access to the information of foreign non-governmental organizations, the activity of which was declared undesirable in the Russian Federation, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation has monitored the Internet.

During the work websites of 11 “undesirable organizations” included in the list of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, were discovered.

Considering the above, on December 11, 2017, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation requested Roscomnadzor to restrict access to the websites that diffuse information of foreign non-governmental organizations, the activity of which was declared undesirable in Russia.
