Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation sent a Request for Legal Assistance in Criminal Case of Murder of Nikolay Glushkov to the Competent Authorities of Great Britain

On April 17, 2018 the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation sent in compliance with the European Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters of 20.04.1959 a request for legal assistance in criminal case of murder of Russian national Nikolay Glushkov committed on the territory of Great Britain to the Home Office of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The criminal case is being investigated by the investigative authorities of Russia upon the elements of a crime envisaged by Article 105 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder) in connection with the communications on discovering a Mr. Glushkov corpse with markings of death by violence.

In the request the Russian investigative authority asks to provide copies of the materials of investigation carried out on this fact by the competent authorities of Great Britain as well as other documents and information relevant for establishing the circumstances of death of the Russian national.

The request for legal assistance was transmitted to the British party on April 23, 2018.
