Two-Day IAP GPEN Workshop completed in Saint Petersburg

A two-day workshop of the Global Prosecutors E-Crime Network of the International Association of Prosecutors, devoted to sharing professional experience on combating cybercrime has completed today, on June 5, 2018, in Saint Petersburg.

This was the first event of such scale, held by GPEN, working in Russia since 2008. The workshop took place on the basis of the regional office of the International Association of Prosecutors in Saint Petersburg, which had been solemnly opened by Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Mr. Yuri Chayka and heads of the Association on November 30, 2017.

During the workshop representatives of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgizia, Mongolia, the Netherlands, Russia and Croatia discussed theoretical and practical problems of fighting cybercrime, including digital criminology, gathering and application of electronic evidence, and use of crypto currency and Darknet for criminal ends.

At the end of the event participants noted the high level of organization of the workshop and its practical significance.
