The citizen of the Republic of Lithuania Egidijus Tatarunas to be extradited from the Kingdom of Spain to the Russian Federation

At the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Spain will extradite the citizen of the Republic of Lithuania Egidijus Tatarunas, to Russia.
The investigating authorities accuse him of the commission of crimes specified in Article 30 (3), Article 228.1 (5) (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances committed by a group of persons by prior collusion, on an especially large scale, if the offense was not brought to completion due to circumstances beyond the control of this person) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
According to investigators, from June to July 2015, in St. Petersburg, Tatarunas with accomplices, illegally purchased and stored narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the apartment in an especially large amount, which were discovered and seized by law enforcement officers during the search.
As Tatarunas escaped from criminal prosecution, he was placed on the international wanted list.
In October 2017, the accused was detained in Spain, after which the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation sent a request for his extradition to the competent authorities of this country.
Accompanied by a special convoy, Egidijus Tatarunas will be taken to Russia.
