Galina Streltsova, accused of fraud, has been extradited to Russia from Spain

Today, on 3 August 2018, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Spain will extradite Galina Streltsova to Russia.
She is accused by the investigation authorities of the commission of crimes, stipulated by Article 159 (2-4) (fraud, that is stealing someone else's property by deceit, committed with causing significant damage to a citizen, by a person using his official position, on an especially large scale) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
According to the investigation, Streltsova being a director of the firms "Agency of Education" and "Costa Blanca", since 2012, offered tours to Spain to citizens. In 2014, she received an advance payment of 1 million 200 thousand rubles and stole them.
As Streltsova disappeared from criminal prosecution, she was placed on the international wanted list.
In December 2017, she was detained in Spain, after which the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation sent a request for her extradition with the view of criminal prosecution.
Owing to the close cooperation between the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and the competent authorities of Spain, it became possible to secure her extradition.
The criminal case is being dealt with by the Fokin District Court of the city of Bryansk.
Galina Streltsova was extradited to Russia accompanied by the special escort.
