On the extradition to Russia from Montenegro of the Russian citizen accused of fraud on a particularly large scale

Today, on 17 September 2018, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of Montenegro extradited to Russia the Russian citizen Darya Yuzhakova.
She is accused by the investigative authorities of the crime specified in Article 159 (fraud on a particularly large scale) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
According to the investigation, from 31 March 2016 to 28 September 2016, Ms. Yuzhakova, Head of Moscow Control and Cash Department No. 1, OOO CB "Kamsky Gorizont", using her official position, arranged for the conclusion of bank deposit agreements on behalf of OOO CB "Kamsky Horizont", with physical persons and acceptance of money from them to open bank account. However, she did not make entries on them as depositors in the Bank's database, as she was not going to honor the obligations to return the deposits.
Thus, Yuzhakova, as a member of an organized group, committed 497 episodes of embezzlement of money for at least 211 230 806 rubles.
Since Yuzhakova absconded from criminal prosecution, and left the territory of the Russian Federation, in December 2017, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation she was put on the international wanted list.
In January 2018, she was detained in the territory of Montenegro.
In February 2018, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation sent a request to the competent authorities of Montenegro for her extradition to Russia.
Owing to the close cooperation between the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and the competent authorities of Montenegro, it was possible to obtain a decision on her extradition in September 2018.
The criminal matter against Ms. Yuzhakova is being dealt with by the Investigative Department of the Internal Affairs Department for the North-Eastern Administrative District, the General Department for the city of Moscow, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
Today, Daria Yuzhakova, accompanied by the officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and the Russian Bureau of INTERPOL, was extradited to Russia.
