The drug dealer absconded from the investigation was convicted after examination of the criminal case file handed over to the Republic of Tajikistan by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation

By the sentence of the Firdavsi district court of the city of Dushanbe, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Tajikistan national Daler Shodihonovich Gulmirzoev was fund guilty of the crimes involving smuggling and illicit drug trafficking.
The criminal case against him was investigated by the Investigative Division of the UFSB of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
As soon as it was established that Gulmirzoyev was hiding from the investigation in the territory of Tajikistan, the materials of the criminal case with the request for his criminal prosecution were handed over by the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Tajikistan in March 2018. The activities were conducted in accordance with the 1993 Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Cases.
Upon consideration of these materials, the Court sentenced Gulmirzoev to 17 years of imprisonment with serving the sentence in a strict regime correctional colony.
