On the extradition of the Russian national, accused of the support of a participant of an unlawful armed formation, from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Russia

Today, by the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina have extradited Russian national Magomed ISAKOV to Russia.
He is accused of the crime stipulated in Art. 33 part 5, Art. 208 part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
According to the investigation, from December 2013 till June 2014, in the Kizlyar Region, Republic of Dagestan, Mr. ISAKOV guided by the ideas of extremist character voluntarily supported a member of an unlawful armed formation. He supplied him with food, clothes, medicines and other essential things.
Since Mr. ISAKOV escaped from the law-enforcement bodies the Court issued an arrest warrant against him. His name was placed on the international wanted list.
In May 2017, Mr. ISAKOV was arrested in Bosnia and Herzegovina; the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation requested his extradition with the purpose of bringing him to justice.
Owing to coordinated activity of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the competent authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina the extradition of Mr. ISAKOV was granted.
Magomed ISAKOV convoyed by officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation and the NCB INTERPOL Moscow has been brought to Moscow.
