Russian national accused of murder extradited from Austria

Today, competent authorities of the Republic of Austria extradited Garri Grigoryants to Russia upon a request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federtion.
He is accused of perpetration of a crime, envisaged by Article 105(1) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).
According to the investigation, in December 1998, in Solontsy of the Emelyanovsk Region of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Mr. Grigoryants killed his acquaintance out of antipathy.
Mr. Grigoryants fled from the law enforcement bodies and was declared wanted.
In June 2019, due to the fact that he was traced on the territory of Austria, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federtion sent a request for his extradtion to its foreign colleagues. In December 2019 the request was met.
Garri Grigoryants was brought to Moscow by the officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and Interpol Russia.
