Citizen accused of theft of property of the Russian railways was extradited from Turkey to Russia

Today, at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Republic of Turkey extradited Tukhtasin Saydaliev to Russia.

He is accused of committing a crime provided for by Article 30 (3), Article 158 (2) (a) (attempted theft, by a group of persons by previous concert), and Article 158 (3) (a) (theft committed by a group of persons by previous concert, with house-breaking) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

According to the investigation, in April 2010, in one of the districts of the Kursk region, Saydaliev, along with accomplices, came to a railroad section where he tried to steal property of OAO “RZD”.

Furthermore, in that 2010 year, in a village in the Kursk region, he, along with a minor, entered a woman’s house and stole her property.

Since Saydaliev had absconded from the law-enforcement authorities, he was put on the wanted list.

In August 2013, Saydaliev was located in the territory of Turkey, and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation sent a request for his extradition to the foreign colleagues. In December 2013, it was granted. The accused appealed against that decision, however, in October of the current year the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia succeeded to secure a decision on his extradition.

Tukhtasin Saydaliev was brought to Moscow accompanied by officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and the Russian Bureau of Interpol.
