On demand of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Spain extradited the national of the Russian Federation, Alexei German, to Russia. He is accused of committing a crime envisaged by Article 159, part 4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed by a group of persons acting in collusion, in an especially large amount).
According to the investigation, in October of 2017 in Moscow German and his accomplice fabricated fake supply contracts between FSUE “TSENKI” and LLC “Alt” amounting to more than 7,5 million rubles. Then they passed them on to the treasury of FSUE “TSENKI”, providing a money transfer to the current account of LLC “Alt” without fulfillment of contract obligations to supply materials and equipment. Afterwards, the transferred money were stolen by the accomplices.
In December of 2018 on behalf of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, he was placed on an international wanted list.
In relation to the communication by the Spanish part about the detention of German on the 14th of September of 2020 on the territory of this state, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation had sent a request for his extradition, which was executed in March 2021.
Because of the clear and coherent actions of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, as well as organized and close cooperation with the foreign colleagues, his extradition to the Russian Federation was achieved.
Alexei German will be taken to Moscow escorted by a special convoy.
