A meeting held with a delegation of the State Attorney’s Office of the Republic of Croatia at the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation

Today, within the framework of the Cooperation Program for 2018-2019 between the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and the State Attorney’s Office of the Republic of Croatia, a round table was held in Moscow, on the implementation of legislative norms aimed at curbing interethnic conflicts and eliminating religious differences, which are the basis for extremist manifestations.
The Russian party was represented by Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Leonid Korzhinek. The meeting was also attended by the officers of the Department for Supervision over Compliance with Laws on Federal Security, Interethnic Relations, Countering Extremism and Terrorism and of the General Department of International Legal Cooperation.
The Croatian delegation was led by Deputy Attorney General of the Republic of Croatia, Head of the Criminal Law Department Ms. Surina Martin Andrea.
During the event the participants of both states shared their experience in the organization of prosecutorial supervision over the implementation of laws aimed at suppressing interethnic conflicts and eliminating religious differences, which are the basis for extremist manifestations; discussed best practices in prevention of dissemination of extremist and terrorist ideology on the Internet; special attention was paid to the fight against radicalization and violent extremism.
As a result of the meeting the agreement was reached to continue efficient interaction.
