Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov met Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gizat Nurdauletov to discuss cooperation issues

Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov met Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gizat Nurdauletov in the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia.
Welcoming his foreign colleague, Igor Krasnov described the meeting as great possibility to identify the most important directions for further development of cooperation of prosecutor’s services of Russia and Kazakhstan, which is distinguished by its multidimensional and functional character.
Russian Prosecutor General underlined that the Prosecutor General’s Office of Kazakhstan is a strategic partner; he highly appreciated its initiatives aimed at development of bilateral cooperation, including between the prosecutor’s offices located near the state borders, and at strengthening bilateral relations and shaping common stand within the Eurasian Economic Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States, other international bodies and organizations.
Igor Krasnov availed himself of the opportunity to invite Gizat Nurdauletov to the Conference of Heads of Prosecutor’s Offices of the European States, which is to be hold in July in Saint Petersburg.
He thanked Gizat Nurdauletov for support in the work on the Declaration of Prosecutors General of the States of the Caspian Sea Region on Cooperation in the Sphere of Protection of Environment and Use of Natural Resources of the Caspian Sea, which is to be signed on the sidelines of the Conference in Saint Petersburg.
Igor Krasnov also expressed his hope that the 31st meeting of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS Member States will be conducted in Kazakhstan in the planned days in person and that pandemic would not become an obstacle for realization by the University of Prosecutor’s Service of Russia and Academy of the Law Enforcement Authorities at the Prosecutor General’s Office of Kazakhstan of functions of main organizations responsible for advanced training of prosecutors of the Commonwealth.
“Potential of joint activity of bodies of prosecutor’s services of Russia and Kazakhstan is enormous” – underlined the Russian Prosecutor General.
He identified cooperation in the sphere of criminal proceedings as priority, including on combating crimes with the use of information and communication technologies, and those with the use of digital currency for illicit aims and involvement of minors into activity dangerous for their lives and health.
As Igor Krasnov noted joint efforts of agencies would promote practical implementation of principle of inevitability of punishment.
He expressed readiness to discuss problematic issues in this sphere in order to find effective and mutually acceptable ways to resolve them and to work out mechanism of prompt resolution of problems, arising during execution of request for extradition and legal assistance in criminal cases in complete correspondence with the norms of international law in force and national legislation of the States.
At the end, Igor Krasnov thanked Gizat Nurdauletov for his personal contribution to the development of cooperation and, as a sign of respect, presented him the Honorary Diploma of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation.
