Today, on 15 November 2019, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Republic of Cyprus extradited Russian citizen Boris Satushiev to Russia.

He is accused of the crime under article 159 (4) (fraud, committed on an especially large scale) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

According to investigation, in September 2011, in Stavropol, Satushiev concluded a knowingly fictitious loan agreement with the director of a construction company for 150 million rubles. He was not going to fulfill the obligations under the loan agreement, he stole money and disposed of it at his discretion, causing damage to the organization on an especially large scale.

Since Satushiyev escaped from law enforcement bodies, he was put on the wanted list.

In June 2016, after his whereabouts in Cyprus were located, the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation sent a request to his foreign colleagues for the extradition of the accused, which was granted in July 2019.

Boris Satushiev was brought to Moscow accompanied by officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and NCB of Russia.
